One night I woke up to a sound. It was a weird voice as if it was calling for me. I don't know what it could be. After that I started to hear it more and more clearly as each day went by. The voice sounded warm and a little bit urgent, and she said "Azura, you must protect them, don't let him harm them." I woke up that night drenched in sweat. I went to go take a cold shower and remove the uneasiness left by that strange dream. I dried off my body and got dressed. I picked out a pair of jeans and a T-shirt with sneakers, and the necklace my mother gave me before she passed. I went down stairs and saw my uncle and his wife. She was making breakfast. It smelled like bacon, eggs and pancakes. I sat down and was eating my breakfast. "Azusa," my uncle said "I thought you were never going to wake up." I looked up and felt a bit awkward said "oh umm I was having a good dream." After breakfast I went out the door to my car. I was trying not to think about what happened in my dream last night during the drive to school. It only takes about 30 minutes to get to my school called Bridge high. I found a parking spot in the direction of the school and saw a black Chevrolet Camaro convertible parked right next to hers. My car was a gift from my uncle and when people saw it they couldn't believe that I would have a car like that. It's a BMW and they would only think rich people would have one as nice as mine. And my uncle is rich since he's a best selling author so he could afford to buy me a nice car. I see all the popular students in one corner talking to someone I’ve never seen before and I think to myself "oh, he must be the new kid who the teachers have been talking about." when I’m about to look away I see him looking in my direction and I see that he has wavy and curly hair, and his hair is dirty blond with light streaks and is quit handsome. I can't see what his eyes look like because I am too far away to see it. The others saw what or who he was looking at and I started to rush in the direction of the school. I glanced to look again and I saw that he was smiling a little bit as if my reactions amused him. I was heading to my first period class and then for some unknown reason I started to think about that dream I had when I sat down. Then the teacher walked in and announced that the new student would be joining them in there class. The girls in my class started to whisper to each other in excitement since they would be hanging out with him. Yes and that’s how things went in this school the good looking ones stuck to each other like glue. Some of the girls gestured for him to sit in a seat near them, but for some strange reason he decided to sit next to me. Everyone was surprised that he decided to sit next to me and then he spoke to me and that really surprised everyone. He said "Hi" in a cool and calm way that would make every girl fall for him. But I decided I wouldn't fall for his charms and said "Hi" back trying to act cool about it. He smiled again and I looked away so he wouldn't notice me blushing. Before I knew it class was over in no time and everyone started to go to next class. I was thinking about what class I had next and said in my head First period was Math so next period is History. I was thinking about my classes so much that I didn’t notice the new guy named Danny right next to me and the girls from class trying to block our way. But Danny seemed to notice and helped me get out of class without anything happening. The girls seemed to not like that either. I looked at him and said “Thank you, but you shouldn’t do that again and I prefer it if you don’t get so close to me either.” He looked surprised and said “Okay, if that’s what you want then that’s fine but if I see something I don’t like I’ll interfere.” And smiled with a look as if he was trying to defend his girlfriend. I blushed and was heading to my next class and I couldn’t stop thinking about what he said and class went by very quick. Then everyone were heading to lunch and so was I. when I got to the cafeteria I got into line, got a tray and was getting some of the food they had. All of a sudden I realized that Danny was standing right behind me and all eyes were on him and even the conversations they had were about him. He suddenly got closer to me and whispered in my ear behind me “Do u want to go find a seat with me?” I looked behind me and suddenly knew I made a mistake because I couldn’t refuse his offer and I had intended to refuse. I said “Okay” It almost came out in a whisper. Danny and I started to walk down an ail and found an almost empty table were we sat next to A girl who dressed Gothic and wear her make up as if she was a vampire. And sitting across from her was a boy who if you look closely you could see that he was attractive as well.
